I believe that streaming will come to a end sooner or later as competition gets harder to manage with all those new services planning to start up.

They all except Netflix and HBO are generating big losses and even the strong firms backing them up will cancel their support in the future as shareholders and content providers will start to mourn.

So we ain't finished off yet.

we may not be finished yet but streaming will never end until something better comes along.

music is already lead by streaming : http://www.businessinsider.com/streamin ... ads-2016-3

General TV is at 50 % being streamed already ( that's a crazy high number ) https://www.cnbc.com/2016/07/21/overwhe ... tflix.html

Sports are now taking a major hit: http://uk.businessinsider.com/golden-ag ... ng-2016-10

And movies? fuggetaboutit: http://www.businessinsider.com/illegal- ... acy-2016-8

Streaming websites made up 73.7% of 78.5 billion visits to access pirated film and TV content last year.
.
Torrent-based sites represented a mere 17.2% of total visits to piracy sites ( which also has more market share than ed2k )

as internet reaches more places, people just aren't getting the whole cable package anymore. and places like where i live, speeds are now fast enough to pitch your satellite dish and go internet only and cut costs.
i think it was about 8 or so years ago they removed the cable in town. if only they had the forethought to add a higher speed internet to it.
satellite ruined it.
now satellite is having a rough time over high speed internet.
cable has adapted in the major centers with internet, tv, and telephone even.
we're just the free diehards who don't want to pay for streaming. :-)

Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Im with hrmwrm on this as we also get the newest releases way before they are available on streaming sites.

And maybe carpe didn't notice but we still attract new members at a faster rate than I can delete the accounts of one time signing in guys who never return afterwards.

6 members a week is hardly a boom lol. If anyone has an android box they dont need to download a single thing anywhere any time. you guys can disagree all you want but the future will come one way or the other.

so where did u get this tidbit of information?

money makes the world go round.
1. hosters charge guys to download fast [premium download with no advertising]
2. downloading from them for free, and lots of popups that advertisers paid the hosters.
3.uploaders get paid for xxx amount of downloading what they upload.

so u see its a full circle and everyone wins, and that's why DDL WILL ALWAYS BE KING ON THE NET.

also, you sometimes get this..viewtopic.php?f=212&t=115738

funny that you said that. One of the hosters that i use all the time, for some reason i can't figure why, lets you watch or download mp4's

Code: Select all

https://openload.co/f/33Zws70SpIM/Baywatch.2017.WEBRip.480px264.AAC-VYTO.mp4
but i never saw it with mkv?

Another 2 reason's....you know the quality and you can read whats it about.
And what about applications? you cant stream Photoshop

hi.
I don't understand, I thought that streaming sites were used only for watching films and videos. But if you want to download software or games you still need file sharing. Am I wrong?
