PS cs6 is coming very soon, so I thought it might be cool to have a look at some of the new features (these are just the ones that stand out for me - lots of other stuff too)

Image

Improvements :
  • redesigned user interface with 4 different colour/brightness levels
  • new crop tool (non-destructive, resizing/rotation visualisation etc - & there's grid overlays too)
  • improved typography (about time IMO - the text option were always sh*t in PS)
  • improvement & new features to the content aware thing(which is easily my favourite tool from CS5)
  • better 3d rendering tools
New stuff :
  • skin selection (allows you to select skins areas of a pic - sounds great)
  • styles & masks can be applied to groups (great idea - means you'll be able to have multiple layer styles at once)
  • new blur tools
  • automatic background saving (no more lost work if you forget to save or there's a crash !)
  • performance increase
Potential problems & stuff that's a bit pointless IMO :
  • Supposedly does need quite a good gfx card
  • new video editing capabilities (wtf ?)

Reviews of the beta have been very positive so far - so I'm looking forward to this update !
