The end of the cell phone headset jack?

Post by drcoolmor » September 27th 2018 - 7:22 pm

I'm reading that a lot of new phones will not have a jack for headsets!
Ridding the NYC subways, I see more and more people [including myself] using Bluetooth ear buds or headsets.
So my question is, do you think the jack is dead like VHS?

I don't think so. Bluetooth is very easy to use but just doesn't give the same quality of sound.

I have a high end media player at home I can connect with my pc trough Bluetooth or through the home network and I can hear a clear difference in sound quality.

Sorry doc, but im talking high res music files.3296 kb/s and more on 24 bit or even 32 bit/384 kHz.

CD quality is something I use for the popular hit parade stuff as it isn't worth more with all the electronic computer generated "sounds".

Edit: forgot to mention I still love this good analog sound from my record player also. Its just more natural for the ears.
